The OMV Thermal Fluid Heaters are our direct fired, helical coil type thermal fluid heaters. A direct fired thermal fluid heater imparts its thermal energy directly into the process fluid, in this case thermal oil.
The OMV utilizes a 3-pass, dual helical coil design with up to 6 splits (3 inner, 3 outer).
The OMV has also been designed to be supplied with a variety of forced draft burners, provided by some of the world’s leading burner manufactures. This allows us to utilize a variety of fuels, meet stringent emissions requirements, and even allow our customers the opportunity to select the burner of their choice.
The OMV can be supplied in either a horizontal or vertical configuration dependent upon the customer's requirements. The horizontal orientation is the most common configuration due to its ease of access to the burner and heater coils. The vertical orientation is the best option when it comes to optimizing facility floor space.
The OMV-PA is our high efficiency option of the OMV Thermal Fluid Heater. The OMV-PA is constructed in a vertical orientation and is supplied with a combustion air preheater alongside the heater. The simple addition of the combustion air preheater can increase the efficiency of the heaters to upwards of 92%.
The OMV and OMV-PA Thermal Fluid Heaters are fabricated by our partner in Italy, BONO Energia, to our exacting requirements. Performance Heating then trims the heaters out and completes the system with the required burner, controls, pumps skids, tanks and auxiliary equipment. The heaters are available designed/constructed to various local code requirements around the world. The most common codes are ASME with National Board registration for the United States, CRN for Canada, and CE/PED/TUV/DIN for Europe. Alternative code requirements may be met if necessary.
Package and containerized systems are available for both the OMV and OMV-PA Thermal Fluid Heaters. These package systems can be customized with auxillary equipment to meet each of our customer's needs, including but not limited to: control panels, pump skids, expansion tanks, drain tanks, pipe spools, tank towers, ladders and platforms, and ancillary components. These auxiliary components are typically fabricated in the USA for USA/Canada installations.
